An investor questionnaire helps classify investors as either sophisticated or non-sophisticated and assess their investment knowledge and experience.
After successfully completing identity verification on the Fagura platform, the next step is to fill in the Investor Questionnaire. This questionnaire has three main purposes:
to classify the investor as sophisticated or non-sophisticated;
to assess the investor’s level of investment knowledge and experience, in order to better understand investment risks;
to evaluate the investor’s net assets, which helps determine the recommended investment amount, according to EU Crowdfunding Regulation 2020/1503.
The questionnaire is not an exam and is not meant to restrict your access to investments. Its purpose is only to evaluate your profile and support you in making informed investment decisions.
After completing the questionnaire, you will be classified into one of the following categories:
A non-sophisticated investor is someone with less experience or knowledge in the investment field. In this case, the platform may display additional information and warnings to help you make more informed decisions. To help protect your financial assets, certain limits may apply to the maximum amount you can invest in a single loan request.
A sophisticated investor is someone with more assets, investment experience, and knowledge to understand the risks associated with investing. Based on this, the platform increases the maximum amount allowed to be invested in a single request.
This questionnaire is mandatory under the law for any licensed crowdfunding platform and is designed to support investors by evaluating their knowledge and helping them make safer and more suitable investment decisions.
