Fagura calculates penalties for borrowers, which only partially cover our collection costs (we cover the difference). These penalties serve as a collection tool. Depending on the situation, we may partially or fully waive penalties as part of the recovery process. These penalties go 100% into Fagura’s accounts and are not shared with investors.

What reaches the investor is a late interest fee, as part of the recovery process. This late interest is calculated for the entire period of money usage (the loan interest is applied not only to the standard 30-day monthly payment but also to the additional days of delay). As a result, for some received payments, you may notice that the amount is higher than others.

Each payment also includes a tooltip (a "?" indicating that payments may include these late interest charges). Some delayed payments might not contain late interest in two cases:

(i) The case has gone through court, where only the amounts approved by the judge are paid, and

(ii) During the recovery process, all penalties and late interest were waived (as mentioned above, as part of the collection mechanism).
