If a borrower dies while the loan is in the process of reimbursement, we ask the executor or the asset manager of his property assets to send us the a death certificate. Then we file a claim against the borrower's patrimony to try to recover the outstanding balance of unpaid loans. Depending on the size of the property, we may not be able to recover partially or fully the amounts of the loan. If the property or other assets do not have sufficient value to repay the full amount of a loan, we will treat the unfilled portion of the loan as being implicit with zero.
